Benefits vs costs (BvC)

At some point in our lives, we told ourselves – either consciously or subconsciously – that

the benefits of our drinking outweighed the costs. But have you ever looked at your behaviour under a microscope and examined the BvC?

I suggest you have two schools of thought about your drinking, but never at the same time:

  1. Short-term thinking: “drinking makes me feel better immediately”.
  2. Long-term thinking: “I want to stop this and lead a better and healthier life”.
