Flourish

How will I flourish?

We’ve spent a large portion of our lives living inside the husk that is alcohol. On the one hand, it protected us from uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, offering solace from sorrow, misfortune, stress or trouble. On the other, it held us captive by controlling our actions and behaviour, creating a barrier to how we develop as individuals. But the good news is that inside every husk, a seedling is ready to break out and flourish.

The flourish metaphor is apt because it doesn’t focus on who we were but on who we can be while keeping our roots in the present. Suggesting we build on our existing qualities to become more robust, beautiful, and complete. And with the environment as our nourishment, we can try different ways of growing and try something else should things not work out.

Who will you become?
